In times of clima change and rapidly rising fuel prices the demand for energy efficient and ecological energy sources becomes stronger and stronger. Here lithium ion batteries offer an emission free and environmental friendly solution.

Being a system supplier of leading automobile manufacturers IBG developed and realised a stack plant for separator, anode and cathode plates for the production of lithium ion cells.

The novel ceramics technology contained in the cells is implemented by the IBG plant. Special gripping systems for very thin electrodes and separators (<100 µm) and camera guided robot technology make a high quality production of this innovative energy storage possible.

The high qualitiy of the produced lithium ion cells is safeguarded for this certain purpose by a sensor technology designed by IBG that continously controls important quality parameters.
