IBG on place 3 of the TOP 100
IBG convinced in the 27th round of the TOP 100 innovation competition and has once again made it to the top. IBG thus once again made it among the most innovative companies in Germany.
IBG has officially been part of the TOP 100 since 19 June. In the scientific selection process, the company impressed with above-average scores across all assessment categories. IBG is among the top innovators for the third time and even ranks third in its size category.
The medium-sized company with headquarters in Sauerland is part of the owner-managed Goeke Technology Group and has been developing individual robot and automation systems for all sectors of industry for 38 years. The latest product innovation is the AGV, which stands for "automated guided vehicle". In practice, this automated transport system for internal logistics is used, for example, at Wilo SE in Dortmund, also a TOP 100 company from 2019. In the newly built "Wilo Smart Factory", the AGV, navigating freely, takes over the transport between the manual and automatic workstations. It transports pumps and assemblies weighing between 10 kilograms and 1,000 kilograms between the stations of an assembly line. A higher-level management system administers all processes.
The group's customers include companies in the automotive, consumer goods, plastics, medical technology and aerospace industries. With currently around 280 employees, the three-time top innovator designs and implements these automated transport systems. "We develop new technologies on our own initiative with great commitment from our employees. In addition, we are involved in numerous cooperations with science and industry, which always gives us new impulses," says Managing Director Matthias Goeke.
