Due to the high complexity of object position detection and gripping point calculation, IBG developed a reliable and economical automation system on behalf of a customer that automatically feeds and removes screw blanks from a CNC lathe. The blanks are provided by the customer in steel containers without uniform orientation, recognised by industrial image processing systems and gripped by robots.
