40 years of innovative strength through research and development
Since our foundation, we have seen ourselves as a driving force for the manufacturing industries. The success story of IBG I Goeke Technology Group began in 1982 when Matthias Goeke founded the "Ingenieur-Büro Goeke" with vision and foresight. Today, our group of companies employs more than 300 engineers, specialists and skilled workers at locations in Germany and abroad.
Not only since our anniversary year 2022 we rely on cherished traditions and proudly look back on milestones in our company history.

As an owner-managed group of companies with strong roots in the local regions, we see it as our responsibility to support regional initiatives, institutions and associations. The Städtische Realschule Balve is located together with the Hauptschule in the school center Balve. The secondary school is attended by over 400 students who are taught by 22 teachers. IBG is a cooperation partner of the Realschule.
As part of the bilingual education project, a comprehensive range of bilingual education from kindergarten to high school is to be created in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in order to acquire a bilingual biography. The bilingual lessons are supplemented by the use of native speakers. IBG is a shareholder of the Bilinguale Erziehung in Lübeck gGmbH.
The North European e-mobile rally takes participants across Schleswig-Holstein. At the largest e-mobile rally in Northern Europe, the focus is on a smooth and energy-saving driving style. Because an electric car competition is mostly about accuracy and endurance than speed. Driving skills, the economical use of energy and cooperation within the team are combined in a sporty and entertaining way at this automotive event. IBG is not only a sponsor of the event, but also takes part in the rally with trainees.
The Balve Optimum is an international equestrian tournament that takes place annually on the tournament grounds at Schloss Wocklum in Balve. The tournament is organized by the tournament community Balve GmbH and the riding club Balve. We support the tournament.
The Young Roosters are the offspring of the Iserlohner EC. The men's team plays as the Iserlohner Roosters in the German Ice Hockey League. Each season, around 1,000 children take part in the IEC school sport and 120 children go through the ice skating school. The teams play in six age groups. IBG participates as a car sponsor of the ice hockey offspring.
On the occasion of the Prange Cup 2016, IBG sent its own basketball team, the Dunkin' Robots, into the race for the first time and with a fantastic result. Since then, employees have been training regularly to further develop their skills.
The sustainability initiative Blue Competence stands for innovation and technology leadership in sustainable solutions in mechanical and plant engineering. With the Blue Competence brand, IBG and the partner companies publicly commit to the twelve sustainability principles of the Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering (VDMA).
For many years, we have dispensed with Christmas presents for our customers, suppliers and partners in favour of an annual drawing competition for the children of our employees. The "most beautiful" entries are sent as Christmas cards instead of presents, and the "saved" money is donated to good causes.

IBG Automation GmbH – Neuenrade
Founded 40 years ago, IBG Automation develops, designs and implements complex and very individual automation systems. In the areas of robotics and software engineering, complex software systems for machine controls are developed and implemented by our own programmers. This includes e.g. robot controls, PLC and process visualization systems.
All activities of the group of companies are controlled centrally from the technology center in Neuenrade. In this way, the entire development work is optimally bundled and a trend-setting technology transfer is promoted.
IBG Technology Hansestadt Lübeck GmbH – Lübeck
Founded in 1999, IBG Technology specializes in the development, production and sale of automated production systems for the North German and Scandinavian markets.
The location has all relevant specialist departments such as design, project planning, production, assembly as well as its own robot and PLC programmers in order to be able to independently implement very large and extensive automation projects independently of the headquarters in Neuenrade.
IBG Automation Malta Ltd.
Due to its good strategic location in the center of the Mediterranean, the island of Malta has good connections to mainland Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Malta is a member of the EU and offers ideal conditions for companies that manufacture technologically sophisticated products. Industry will find highly qualified, English-speaking engineers and specialists for other relevant industrial sectors here.
IBG Automation Malta supports the German locations in the areas of construction, simulation and programming. With our own online shop, we sell high-quality automation products and industrial components in Malta.
XPION GmbH – Neuenrade
XPION is the marketing agency in the group of companies. It offers the full range of services from classic advertising, modern online marketing, sophisticated image and video production as well as moving technology solutions. XPION has been creatively implementing customer ideas and creating brand experiences for over a decade. The highest demands are placed on the targeted creation and the qualitative, precise implementation of unforgettable and dynamic moments. The range of services includes brainstorming, the conception and planning of extraordinary solutions, which go hand in hand with the subsequent creation, development and control of innovative results.
IBG North America LLC – Columbia
The location in South Carolina, USA, was originally founded as a service branch for a major German customer in order to be able to optimally support their production plant in the USA. Today, IBG in North America supplies automation systems to German, American and Canadian companies and commissions them on site.
