Complex robot assembly systems for electrolysers

As part of the FertiRob project, automation solutions for the various sub-problems in the manufacture and assembly of stacks and electrolysers are to be developed. In order to enable efficient and flexible applicability and to guarantee easy scalability, a modular automation system is to be developed. In doing so, solutions are to be developed for the technical issues within the scope of assembly, such as handling limp components within narrow tolerance limits, the provision, transport and handling of both small and large components, automatic, continuous quality testing, automatic screwing and wiring .

The content of our sub-project is to develop and build functioning assembly systems for demonstration plants for H2 production. This assembly system consists on the one hand of the physical structure and on the other hand of a virtual assembly system for setting up the large plant on site. These innovative assembly and handling systems should be used in an adaptable manner for the many different components, devices, system modules and, in particular, stacks, as well as for the different supply systems. In addition to the robot-supported assembly system, driverless transport systems, e.g. B. for container transport or the provision of heavy-duty components, the necessary gripping technology including gripper changer and the associated control developed.
