Naturally, these materials must be fastened together tightly despite their various properties. That’s why riveting, for example, is being used to join the parts.

IBG has already implemented an automated riveting cell. Equipped with an adaptive C-type rivet squeezer, the robot is used to rivet together two flat parts of any material at predefined positions. In comparison to the manual riveting previously used, the key advantages of this fully automatic riveting station are efficiency, accuracy and the wide array of variations.
